By seeking innovative ways to improve the environmental performance of its product portfolio, Mechan is steadily reducing its impact on the climate. For example, automatic lubrication canisters are fitted to all lifting jacks and bogie drops to reduce the risk of oil and grease spills.

The company also sources third-party innovations that offer environmentally sound alternatives to current depot maintenance solutions, giving its clients the ability to make an ethical choice.

Mechan is proud to offer to the UK market the Bertolotti sand box filling system, which reduces spillage and eliminates the dust associated with this procedure, and the Aquafrisch tram washing machine, which extracts pollutants from the wastewater so it can be recycled.
