We are adding our voice to the SMEs looking to shape the future of the rail industry.
Our managing director, Richard Carr, has joined the Rail Supply Group’s (RSG) SME Council to represent the interests of those serving the sector.
Richard is already a member of the SME and Export Workstreams and contributed previously to its RSG Drafting Committee. He and his fellow SME councillors aim to provide support and advice to the RSG, enabling greater engagement with SMEs, representing their views and helping to develop the UK as a global rail leader.
The SME Council’s first meeting was held in Derby last week. It was an opportunity for members to learn more about how they each fit into the rail sector and discuss how best they can reflect the contribution SMEs make, whilst addressing the challenges faced.
Richard said: “It was a pleasure to meet representatives from fellow rail specialists who, like me, are passionate about the sector and want to make an active contribution to its growth and future success. I am confident our joint efforts will result in positive action being taken by the RSG to improve cooperation and collaboration across the industry, creating a better trading environment for SMEs throughout the supply chain.”
