Mechan is featuring in a brand new exhibition, celebrating the internationally renowned making and manufacturing that takes place in our home city.

Made in Sheffield is open to view seven days a week at the Millennium Gallery in Sheffield until January 8 2017 and showcases the diversity of design and production offered by more than 100 local companies.

We were asked to submit three key facts that demonstrate our engineering excellence and global reach. They were: To date, we have manufactured in excess of 3,000 lifting jacks, exported to 30 countries worldwide and produced the largest traverser in the UK for the Port of Felixstowe.

The Made in Sheffield exhibition is run by Museums Sheffield and forms part of The Year of Making, an initiative recognising the city’s reputation for innovation and excellence. For more information, visit here
